Join Tom Brigandi, CFA, the CFA Institute Inaugural Global Outstanding Young Leader, at his invitation-only 2019 Complimentary Holiday Reception & 2020 Investment Outlook to mix and mingle with hundreds of fellow NYC-based investment professionals. Please arrive by 5:45 PM, as we will begin promptly at 6:00 PM with an opening keynote address by Senior Managing Director of New York Life Investors and Head of Fixed Income Investors, AJ Rzad, CFA. The opening keynote address will be followed by a panel of senior industry participants sharing their investment outlooks for 2020. Special addresses will also be incorporated into the evening, focusing on ESG and Technology. The closing keynote address will be delivered by Quint Barker, CFA, Chief Investment Officer, GoldPoint Partners, which as of June 30, 2019 managed $13.5 billion of private equity assets.

During the three hour reception, complimentary food will be provided by our organizers. There will also be a cash bar. Registration for this event, which will be held under Chatham House rules, will be limited to 500 investment professionals. This is not an official CFA Society New York event and is a holiday reception being organized for friends & personal contacts of the organizers. Finance industry peers who do not receive an invitation may request one.

Last year, Tom Brigandi's 2018 Complimentary Holiday Reception & 2019 Investment Outlook was oversubscribed with over 500 asset owner, buy-side and sell-side investment professionals registered. Collectively, registered investment professionals for this event represented organizations that have over 25 trillion dollars of assets under ownership, assets under advisory and assets under management. Due to fire-code capacity issues experienced last year, the organizers will not accept any additional registrations once 500 is reached.

To request an invitation, please either click on the above "Request Complimentary Invitation" link or send an email to thomas.brigandi@thomasbrigandi.com with the subject "Investment Outlook & Holiday Networking Reception". In the email please include your name, title and firm. If you are interested in becoming a co-host or a volunteer for the holiday party, please let Tom know one week before the party, as he stops accepting additional co-hosts and volunteers at that time.

Tribute

This year's holiday party will be celebrating the lives of three of Tom Brigandi's friends William E. Macaulay (1945 - 2019), Alex Navab (1965 - 2019) and Héctor Figueroa (1962 - 2019). Macaulay was a billionaire energy investor that gave opportunities to thousands of select City University of New York students with a $30 million gift that created the Macaulay Honors College. Navab formerly served as head of KKR's Americas private-equity business and was a prolific philanthropist, serving on numerous non-profit boards such as New York's Presbyterian Hospital and the Robin Hood Foundation. Figueroa served as the President of the 175,000+ member SEIU 32BJ Building Services Union, the largest property service workers union in the country, where he was a tireless advocate for his members. Joyously, the party will also be celebrating the birth of the first child of one of Tom Brigandi's closest friends and his wife.
